OFFICER LEADERSHIP TRAINING Summer – 2017   It takes less than 10 minutes for a visitor to your Lodge to see that your officers have attended an Officer Leadership Training Program. Participants in our Grand Lodge Officer Leadership Training, lead their Lodges with greater confidence, efficiency, and effectiveness. To the Members of Texas Lodges Brethren, the 2016 Grand Lodge year is about to Close and a new Grand Master and slate of Grand Lodge Officers are about to be Installed and begin the 2017 Grand Lodge Year. This being a new year, let’s start by going into our schools if you are not already doing so and get involved in The Take Time To Read program. By doing so you can have a great impact on the children in our schools by reading to classes Tutoring slow readers and you my not know this but you Mentor children who do not have one in their lives, you do make a difference. One hour a week makes the difference between a child passing or failing. The teachers in our schools have a really hard job and they sure welcome our help. Lodges get a vast amount of Masonic milage and recognition in your community by taking on this important task. Masters Meet At The Alamo – 2015

Alamo Lodge #44, December 11, 2015 The Most Worshipful Grand Master, Wendell P. Miller travelled to San Antonio, Texas on December 11, 2015 for the traditional Alamo Observance. The group began assembling at the San Antonio Scottish Rite at 5:00 PM. We were met by the Worshipful Master of Alamo Lodge #44, Worshipful Sir Francis Michael Gollahon. After everyone registered, the Grand Master and his entourage marched from the Scottish Rite to the Alamo. There were approximately 34 of the District Deputy Grand Masters in attendance as well as several appointed Grand Lodge Officers. Also in attendance were Right Worshipful Terry Stogner, Grand Junior Warden and Right Worshipful Tommy Chapman, Grand Senior Warden. Alamo Lodge was opened at 7:00 PM inside the Alamo with about 150 in attendance. All Grand Lodge Officers were presented and introduced and the Grand Master was presented and received private Grand Honors from those in attendance. Worshipful Master Gollahon presented a short program on the Alamo and Grand Master Miller gave a short talk about the state of the Craft in Texas as well as hitting on some of the high points of his programs this Masonic year.
